Millenia of snowmelt have filled this almost 2000 foot deep crater and has resulted in the brilliant blue of one of the world's clearest bodies of water. While the  blue of the lake is certainly the centerpiece, the summer warmed blue of the sky and the  evergreen ring of trees add contrast and depth.
